Ofcourse it is sax. It was just played oriental style and it sounds really good especially being played from keyboard. I agree that it misses some stuff, but that is from player's perspective. I still believe Nedim did really good job . Do not want to be a bad guy, but first do a research before commenting on a piece of music. And go to samplemodelling page and you'll see it is the best there is for sax, trombone, and trumpet kind of sound. You can do whatever you want with it.Like I said, it's up to the player.

Yes, Nedim did a pretty good job, but he didn't phrase the instrument as a "real" sax should be played, hence the slight criticism.
At the level of Tyros4, PA3X and Kronos, the overall impression of a Sax sound is very subjective, and really down to personal taste.
The only problem I have with the Kronos, is that it is not an arranger.

Ian is right, i did it on purpose keeping the Volume up but hands down of course, this is the BEST SAX in the world as of now, there is nothing else that beats it, SA2 and DNC are toyish compared to this kind of control and expression...by the way this is not my opinion, it is the opinion of 101 out of 100 Mr Sax T users. As for Yammy and Korg...give it another 10 years they will get close.

You can not compare sa2 to mr sax.Like Nedim said Yamaha or Korg are at least 10 years behind.I also think there is no reason for Korg or Yamaha or any other brand not to have these kind of voices.Check oriental players how they play sax, the way it sounds and you will see how close Nedim got.And MR SAX was made mostly for western music.Do some research before commenting. No one is bashing beloved T4,but comparing t4 sax to mr sax is childish.Go to samplemodelling.com and you will see. It sure would be nice to hear a demo that actually showcased that sax sound. as it was, Nedim's sax simulation didn't sound much like a sax to me at all...the sound itself was fairly close, but the technique didn't do it any favors, oriental style or not. No one needs to do any "research" to make a simple comment that the demo doesn't sound very realistic...they just have to use their ears. Real sax players take breaths between phrases, and the portamento slides being used sounded nothing like the way a sax player bends the notes. If you think it sounds realistic, that's fine by me...but I don't. Ian
