I have a question,

Does the new PSR S650 can play/load styles let's say from the PSR 2100, 2000, 1500,3000, S910, S710, S700, TYros1,2,3 & 4 ? Is it easy to load them? not like the Previous models that had only 3 locations and it was NOT user friendly to load them and had very limited memory, sometimes could load only 2 styles, depending on the size of them.

As you know, I sell some ethnic styles, and someone that has a new PSR S650 ask me that, and since most "music stores" around the Phoenix AZ Metro do not carry it(at least yet), I have no way to test them, our styles are "generic" with the name.STY extension that can be played on the models I mention above, that is why I am asking, please let me know if it does.
Thanks in advance.

Manuel

Hi

According to the manual the PSR S650 plays styles in SFF2 format. This format was introduced a few years ago (Tyros 3); and all models using this format will also play SFF1 format, used in e.g. Tyros 1 & 2; PSR 3000 and older models.

I don't know if it is easy to load styles.

Jørgen

PS:
I still miss the Data List to PSR S650. It is supplied with the keyboard; and no pdf version is available. I can not update my software programs without this Data List. Please help, PSR S650 owners!!

I should have written:
"and all OTHER models using this format will also play SFF1 format,"

I ASSUME that PSR S650 can play old styles; but I don't know for certain.

Jorgen,
I wonder if perhaps some of the users of the PSRS650 do not understand your request?
I have my own Manual for the PSR9000 (Version2) and on Page 192 there is a list of "MIDI Data Format". It gives Decimal Hexadecimal and Binary values.
Is it the appropriate one for the PSRS650 you are looking for.?

Hi Eddie

Sorry, no. It is not a MIDI Data List...

I miss the style list; mega voice map: voice list (prg,no., MSB and LSB values); multipad list, harmony/echo type list, effect type list etc. etc.

For ALL OTHER keyboards these data are included in the manuals; and these manuals are for download.

In the PSR S650 this data are NOT included in the mauals; but is in a "Data List" included in the keyboard package.

Hopes this clarify.

OK Jorgen,
Sorry I could not help.

My User Manual has (for my PSR9000)
Voice List,Keyboard Drum Assignments,Style List,Multi Pad Bank List,Parameter Chart,Effect Type List,Effect Parameter List,Midi Data Format,Midi Implementation, and of course Specifications.
Good luck.

I found the way to download the manual from the jp site.
But I think you already have this?

Hi Eddie

I have all the manuals I need except the PSR S650 Data List which can not be downloaded.

I need it for updating my software programs. Data Lists for other models will not do. Have to have the right one!

Thanks for your concern
Jørgen

Hi

The missing PSR S650 Data List is found.

It has been added to the Yamaha Manuals download page yesterday.

Thanks to all trying to help...

Best wishes
Jørgen
