You played this on your G-70, Fran?

Was this actually played by you, or is it a midi file recorded by someone else and played with your G-70's sequencer?

Nice music all the same. The SRX board makes a difference, although I think the Roland BK-7M has the edge on sound quality and much finer detail overall (of course it should, as it it much newer).

If not you, do you have any idea who is the original player? Sounds multi-tracked to me.

Thanks for sharing.

Ian

... not my 'cup of tea', but quite a production ...
very pretty when it got to the main theme ...
PS ... is this how the score to "West Side Story" sounds ... haven't seen it in years ...

Hi Fran,

I'd love to take a listen but don't want to download anything into my PC. If it were a streaming file though...

Here is one of my favorite versions of this tune:

From Wikipedia:
Waits has a distinctive voice, described by critic Daniel Durchholz as sounding "like it was soaked in a vat of bourbon, left hanging in the smokehouse for a few months, and then taken outside and run over with a car."[1]

Kinda like Joe Cocker ...

Another Tom Waits classic with interview ... woot

Any idea who made it? What instrument was the original recording made on?

Someone should at least be given recognition for such a nice SMF.
