Hi all - I have an XD3 which I drive mainly from a Studiologic SL1100 controller keyboard. I have a sustain pedal connected to the SSL which transmits the sustain messages via midi to the XD3 (and other modules in the midi chain).

Now this works fine when I use the user voices or programs but does not work on the factory voices. If I plug the sustain pedal into the XD3 itself then all voices respond to the sustain pedal.

Is there a setting that I have missed or is this an undocumented "feature". I would keep the sustain pedal plugged into the XD3 but I need it to sustain the voices on other units as well.

Anyone help please - Keith

This keyboard also drives other units

KFingers.

You can maintain the sustain pedal on the XD3. However ensure the following:

* MIDI (F6)
* FILTER TRANSMIT (F5)
* Move cursor to EXPRESSION and SELECT (F10).
* There should be an asterix (*) next to it.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

AJ

Thanks for the quick response AJ

I will try that tonight when I get home. I could probably make up a "Y" cable to overcome this as well, especially as both the XD3 and SSL are the same polarity.

Thanks again - Keith
