One day I was playing some hard driving jazz and i got pain in my right wrist that hurt so bad I had to stop then and there. I bought this brace on a friends reccomendation as a stop gap measure until I could get to the doc. Once wearing the brace no more pain and never did go to the doc. I wore it for about 3 months and now play with it. Once in a while I get a twinge and know is it time to shut down for the day/night. It is then ok the next time. Bill Thanks Bill, for your explanation. I too was concerned about carpal tunnel...my wrists sometimes bothered me when I was playing the keyboards whilst standing...it seemed no matter how I adjusted the stand, it still happened. I decided that I would play only while sitting, and never had a problem since. A friend of mine had to have wrist surgery due to carpal tunnel, and it actually made it worse, so there is an obvious risk involved. Good to see you found a more "natural" solution. Ian
