Is there a standard cable I can get for hard drive back-up, or do I have to buy it from Ketron?

it has to be the Ketron cable. I think it's wired differently.
I tried using the serial cable I used succesfully with my Roland & Yamaha keyboards, but it kept locking up my pc when I connected it to my Ketron.
I thought I was doing something wrong.
One of the members was kind enough to send me a Ketron cable, & it worked perfectly.

Personally I ended up having to buy an additional serial to usb adapter (for my cable,) after I bought my new laptop.The laptop didn't have a serial port.

If you have a serial port on your pc , then you only need the ketron cable plus software
