Now that the middle eastern team has no support what so ever for the X1, and neither does it seem like you guys have time for it with all the new Ketron's out there. Why not distribute the software that allows X1 owners to modify their SND file sets.

For example I have 4 sets of 16MB SND kits for oriental music. Each of those sets has certain sounds and drum kits that I want and certain sounds and kits that I think are waste of memory. Why not give us or sell us the software that enables us to at least mix and match between SND sets that we have.

I know that possible HW is involved in creating such sets from scratch cause you need a sampler and a sound engine, but I am sure that to modify the existing SND sets we have, all we need is the SW.

Please check with your management and see if you guys can at least allow us X1 users to support our own products. All you have to do is supply us with the tools we need.

Thanks

Let me add my voice to Mosiqaar’s, I have tried each and every way to make my own SND mix with no success! I hope Ketron listens to the X1 loyal & devoted users this time and distributes this software to us. This way we may never ask for another X1 software update

First Hello Maged and Dan, its been a while I hope you both are doing well.

Dan I would say its a dream if it would have any effect what so ever on the Ketron Market or new products.

But the reason I asked such a request because its very logical and it will actually make things easier for Ketron as a company. They have many new products to support, and obviously have no time for the X1, so we are simply tell them we will support our own product (for free I might add) just hand us the tools that you have to those you are giving monthly salary to!

More over, this software is only dedicated to X1 so it will not be helpful to any other Ketron owner and thus no worries about distribution!

I am doing OK, thanks Mosiqaar.
AJ: Tell us it’s not possible and I promise I won’t be upset!

Team,
The reason this software cannot really be distributed is because the entire creation of a .snd file also involves a lot of hardware (Canvases etc) that are used to create these sounds. The software just assists in management and has not been designed with a GUI for distribution as of date.

Thanks,

AJ

AJ please read carefully my request.

I DONT WANT TO CREATE NEW .SND FILES. I simply want to be able to shuffle what I have right now. Which as you mentioned is what the software does "The software just assists in management".

Details of what I would like to do (if I cannot create new SND files)

I have one kit of 16MB SND files set lets call them
X1PCM set. This set is composed of 16 SND files.
PCM1.SND
PCM2.SND
PCM3.SND
.
.
.
PCM16.SND

When loaded into the X1, in RAM I have certain sounds and drum kits that are used for my patterns and for playing. For example of the things I like about this set is that it has a really nice PIANO sound, and a nice TENOR SAX. It also has some drum kits that I really could careless to have, and some sounds that I never use....please keep reading.

I have another 16MB set called X1TECH which is also composed of
Tech1.SND
Tech2.SND
.
.
.
Tech16.SND

When this set is loaded it does not have the nice PIANO, or the nice TENOR SAX...yet it has really nice drum kits that will enable me to make nicer patterns.

My goal is to be able to "manage" those two sets so that I can end up with ONE 16MB set that has the better KITS and better SOUNDS from both the PCM and Tech sets.

I gave you this example based on having 2 sets of 16MB SND files. Imagine if we have 3-4-5 Sets of sounds and each has something we like and stuff we don't need.

Why does it have to be that I have to load my Nice Piano on the expense of not loading a nice drum kit....or vice versa!

I know about the hardware requirement for creating SND files...I dont' want to create...i just want to shuffle what I have.

Please help.

Aj?
And what about the software for creating SD1 INS files? because, the SD1 have a very bad memory management with MSP files...
You know with msp, the 16 Mo is full with only 5 Mb of wav sounds !
So, all users who use the SD1 sampler, wants really the INS software...
