Since my first band I have been writing music by hand and lyrics with a typewriter. About 12 years ago I purchased the Encore program. The one I bought was being discontinued and sold for $6.99, I could not resist. Since then I have upgraded three times. I know there are many who scan music sheet and it by far less work but I enjoy adding the notes, lyrics and creating what I want to see. On these sheets I add the style, tempo, which fills – intros – endings to use. I have aprox. 900 songs completed, they are used in my laptop which sits next to my Kn7.
I am looking for opinions on other programs that work in the same manner or ideas I can add to what I am doing.
In advance, Thank you, John C.

taz Hi Bruno123, Encore is now owned by GVOX and the software program is now called MUSIC TIME DELUXE - the essentials of Encore. It is still available for PC and Mac and costa a little more than $6.99 now - more like $119.99 downloaded or add an extra $10.00 for postage etc.

Here: - http://www.gvox.com/mtdBuy.php

I do not have anything to do with them, just passing on the info to you; in case you don't find anything else that suits your needs.

Nigel's post ought to get you going. I have used MidiNotate Composer since 1996 and find it good and easy.

Thanks Bernie. http://www.synthzone.com is much more than just the forum. It is a directory of keyboard related links that I try to keep as up to date as possible.
