How does one do this?

How much space do they give you?

Specifically looking at the storage of styles...

Thanks!!!

Bill,
I assume you are talking about the extra memory modules added to support creating new voices etc.?
If so the procedure is:
1. Select "voice creator"
2. Select "Custom voice bank edit"
3. Select "Property" in the bottom right corner
4. The "Wave Ram" will show you what is installed and the other data below what you have used etc.

If you are talking about the internal memory built into the T2 then I do not know if there is a procedure.

Unfortunately, there is no way I know of to check the amount of internal memory. You can easily check the HD and USB by pressing Function/Utility/Media/Property.

Thought it was supposed to be 1MB, wasn't it? I remember it being discussed a few times, so a search ought to find it.

I stand corrected...

Mind you, this always struck me as one area that Yamaha have always short-changed their users. I am not trying to start a war, just trying to point out that things could be MUCH better without this limitation, but even my ancient G70 has a 50MB SSHD, and up to 2GB hanging off the card slot, and the OS treats it ALL exactly the same.

Instantaneous loading (you can bring in a style while a style is playing with no glitches) and instant access to every last sound style and SMF with no loading it up first...

Just keep bitching at Yamaha until you get this... it is by FAR the easier and more practical system.

Like I said, I'm not trying to do an 'I've got a better arranger than you'... I'm doing an 'I wish you could get Yamaha to have this AS WELL, so I DON'T have a better arranger (at this particular aspect) than you'!
