I CANNOT GET CAKEWALK TO CALL UP THE RIGHT PATCHES ON MY ALESIS QS6. IT WILL PLAY GENMIDI STUFF GREAT. CAKEWALK PRO 7 DID NOT COME WITH AN INSTRUMENT DEFINITION FILE FOR THE QS6, BUT I WAS ABLE TO GET ONE FROM THE WEBSITE. EVEN WITHTHIS LOADED I GET A TOTALLY UNEXPECTED SOUND PATCH WHEN I CHOOSE IT THROUGH CAKEWALK. IS THERE SOMETHING I AM NOT DOING CORRECTLY? IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE USING A QS6 WITH CAKEWALK THAT CAN HELP?

THANKS - ALOT

I don't have a QS1 , but just incase you did not do this;
You will have to change manually the settings of each track if you loaded a standard or gs midifile and after that save the file.
Next time you load this saved file it will have all the wright settings.
The fact that you loaded a QS patch does not mean that automticly all instruments of your QS1 are assigned!
