hi,

i recently bought a midjay, i also own a sd1 plus, i became a little dissapointed with acoustic piano sound, it's totally different than sd1. another reason for my dissapointment was that is impossible to make splits with diffreent sounds for right and, wich i can do with the programs on sd1.

Also, midjay has less sounds than the keyboard. I use some drums sound on my band, when i need a drum sound, i need to open midifile, edit partt, select drum to start playing, on sd1 only need to push manual drums button.

Is all this correct?
thanks
Rui Moreira

i mixed grand piano with rodes on the midjay, and it became decent, not good as i wanted. when i unpacked mi sd1+, i play the first sound, grandpiano, and i loved it. with midjay, voices edition capabilities are very limited, just reverb, pan, fx, tune... no cutoff, lpf, release, attack, ressonance... on sd1 i use key stop to play styles, this allows me to start and end style playback, without push any button on the panel, on midjay it doesn't work.

well, this machine is great, but we can't compare it to the sd1. beside for a little unit with 3,2 kg wich i can take to everywhere in his light bag, itīs a very good sound module and audio player.

ruimoreira,

Remember that the MIDIJAY is NOT a SD1Plus sound module.

I am glad you were able to tweek some of the sounds to your satisfaction on the Midijay.

Thanks,

AJ
