.sty files for the most part of MIDI files with special sections and a Yamaha format header with yamaha instrument information in it.

Just an information more:

What a .sty player does? Does it play midi part (mainA... Fill...) according to chord (transposing notes)? Or something else?

Hi Q'Bert,
a program like One Man Band or Livestyler will play a .sty file in realtime ie intro's fills variations & endings.
http://www.1manband.nl/ http://www.live-styler.de/index.html

You can also create/edit .sty files in One Man Band.

best wishes

Well,
I wonder how does the keyboard trasform a Cmai7 chord (for example), that it find in .sty file, to G#min...

What is the algorythm used?

I know it should be doc of Jens Christensen (creation of styles for PSR-7000)... but I can't find it. All the link I found don't work

Thx!
