I've been using Rolands G1000 live for quite awhile and loved it. I recently bought the Roland G70 and was very disapionted to find that it won't record styles on the fly(chordchanges) and loop them as in a live situation like the Roland Pro E G1000-800-600 (request etc) Do you know if the Tyros 2 will do this

Did you know that on the G70 you could program a song using chords only and then save it as a midi file and then you can set 4 locate points per each song which can be set at verse, bridge, intro, etc. so that you can keep looping by just pushing one of these 4 buttons whenever you want.

Yamaha Tyros 2 can do the same thing. On the Yamaha, you set up to 4 song positions and if you press the "loop" button, each time you play back a section and it gets to the end of the stored SP point, it will loop and repeat itself indefinetly until you turn off the loop light from the button. Also, you can save all this data for each song just like the roland G70.

This might be a work around, although I understand that with the older Rolands, you could just engage record, start playing and then push one button and your chord sequence would repeat and play.
