Could someone please tell me if the JV 20-80- is a lot better than the smaller JV 10-80.I do not think I will ever buy all the expansion boards for the 20-80, or is the JV 20-80 such a lot better overall?.Maybe Fran will also be able to help. It is a lot of money to spend and I would like to do the right thing. Thanks for a wonderful and informative forum. If it was not for this forum I would have bought the wrong instrument for my needs. Happy festive season to all the musicians....hein

Hein , The 2080 has 2 biggies, a bigger and better display window and a better detail user operation, utilizing the display, the second biggy is three independent insert effects[and a larger selection],...Fran

Don't even consider the JV1010 unless you only want to select and playback patches- It is hardly editable from the front panel- you require a computer to edit it (with the supplied soundiver software). It only has a single pair of stereo outs (unacceptable for a multi-timbral synthe such as this)

Check it out if you don't mind using it with a computer. Otherwise don't bother! Yes it is alot cheaper but at a price.
