Thoughts on this site for Styles?
http://www.yamahamusicsoft.com/en/instrument/Keyboard/Tyros2?currency=USD

I'm looking to add some high quality Styles. I know there's other 3rd party website that have styles available but so many are not what I'm looking for. For every 20 I listen to, I find 1 that's of interest to me.

I'm interested in adding basic Big band, Country, Latin, etc...almost everything might have a use...

Suggestions?

Thanks!

The styles are good quality. Your tastes will be the factor. Listen to the samples and go from there.

[B]Hi.

I've been listening to quite a lot, if not most of the samples at Yamaha
and Midispot sites.
Since I don't have any Yamaha so far, I have only "live" experiense with
Midispot played at Technics KNs, Ketron Sd1 and Roland G-70.
Always a matter of personal taste, but just by listen, to me Midispot are
more punchy and lively than Yamahas more compressed and polished styles.
But as you can listen to as well as buy single styles, it's more "safe"
in that way that you get what you pay for instead of collections of many
where you find only 1 or 2 usable for your playing.
There are other 3rd party suppliers as well, but in my ears they are not in
the same league when load and play.

Cheers and Happy Playing

Btw, if we look at the numbers of addon styles to buy, also 3rd party, it's
no doubt that it most be nice to be a Yamaha user.

Some links you probably know about:
www.hageshop.de
www.midispot.com
and I guess you're familiar to www.psrtutorial.com

I think the Midi spot stuff is by far the best in the yamaha line up esp there midi files , i think the style file are good as well , if you want to buy some around hoildays they have 20% off weekends that will save you the premium blues very good if it is for a tyros 4 they are not quite up to all the style files yet but soon they will have all theres avail for T4 ALL MY STUFF I HAVE IS FORMATED FOR S910 but it works it in T4 , What i like you can here the file on the internet and if you have s910 or T4 yOU CAN HOOK YOUR KEYBOARS UP TO THE SITE AND HEAR THEN THRU YOUR BOARD .

Time to move on up to the TYROS 4 big difference between the T2 & T4 sound & Style wise...now that you on your own this would make sense..no?

I enjoy the Yamaha Musicsoft styles. I do not care for the Midispot styles at all. They seem actually corny and kind of overdone to me. IMHO

Guess you'll have to try some. See which ones you like. I know you can listen to a sample of the Yamaha styles.

Here's one I like especially:

Well if you look at teh sheer number of great styles available for Tyros 4, none can beat Yamaha...

This is one of the major selling points ofcourse for home musicians.
