a friend of mine is looking to buy an arranger keyboard but his price point is £400 max ! I reckon he can only afford a good second hand intermediate model or a new beginers model. He needs

1. great sounds
2. full piano mode
3. 61 -88 keys.
4. preferably an onboard sequencer (full sequencer)

Can anyone advise ? AS you can see it doesnt have to be the latest and greatest arranger going.

Cheers

Here in the USA, the Yamaha YPG235 is selling for $199.00. This keybaord has 76 semi weighted keys, full keyboard mode for the arranger, a 6 track sequencer and very good sounds. For the price, it's a great value. It was selling in the $350.00 price range until Yamaha decided to compete with the price of a 76 key Casio called the WK-200 which is also $199.00. The Yamaha is quite a bargain if someone wants inexpensive and new.

I agree with George and DNJ on this one--can't go wrong with either keyboard.

thanks fopr the suggestions guys. How deep is ythe sequencer on the yammies ?

Also how about some of the older model rolands like the EM 2000 ?

Did the Casio MZ 2000 have a full sequencer ?

I will consider the older models if the spec is right

MZ 2000 has a full sequencer, but its linear not pattern.

I doubt it has USB too.

Look into the WK 7500.............

A steal at 499
