Neat. I love watching and listening to people that can really play.

Thanks for the link,

Please note quality of the sound even trough a crappy set of PC speakers, note camera not moving around or on auto focus moving in and out. How nice is this, but simple, and tunes all the way through, ones we know as well! well some of us.

Yes the sound quality and the video are excellent... however... if the demonstator plays so simply, like in the first video, the Tyros 4 looks like any "mere mortal" arranger (if you get what I mean). It is also needed Peter Baartman or another expert demonstrator.

It sounds ok as long as you keep it at home where it belongs. Keep the Tyros at home for the family to sing along with and take an Audya out to the gigs.

I'm tired of these people demoing 'tunes'.
Just run of the mill songs...
Most of them sound good on any arrangr.
Let's hear sme real music played on T4.

Turn the volume UP!

Like this etc.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JaMw63ueoVw&feature=related

And T3:
Sounds pretty darn good to me.

Lee,

Where do you buy one of these Organs from not anywhere in the UK, my thread was about demoing a KB and getting the filming and sound right the two YouTube I gave are good quality, I am not saying the content would match other players ,that’s not the point. I knew it would start a disagreement that’s what threads are all about agreement and disagreement. I am sure some of you out there can play much better than the chap on my samples, record and video much better than my samples, we just haven’t seen any of them yet certainly none on the MS, Ketron yes there are loads. Yes and Beakybird on T3 he has shown his hand and good too, and there are others a few.

James,

You need to buy one first, there is a new Ford Focus out in Jan 2011, I’m not ordering one of a picture in a magazine. At least the Audya however bad was in a shop near me and look what happened when I bought a KB I saw and touched. If you are buying from afar am I stupid to do so watching what is on offer AV wise from Dom, I think the answer is yes I would, that’s why I hold back, nothing to do with the recession. Why the hell don’t you talk to him about doing some sales videos or do you have a problem with Korg on that. You in my mind are the only one in the frame, I have seen your work why waste time go for it.

Well, if the thread had said anything about it being about video and audio quality, and not the performance or mix, it might have got the response the OP obviously wanted...

But, as usual, you get the backing utterly SWAMPED by the lead voices, and some pretty barebones playing, and next thing you know, people are commenting on the obvious...

Wow! They were super, Lee. Awesome orchestral capabilities...the playing on both was excellent.

Plus...the players appeared to be pretty young as well.

Joesax,
YES, YES...that's what I'm talking about.
Very, very nice..and I like Winter dreams even better.

This is more the kind of music I like to play. More orchestral.

Tony,
Yes, I know...that is why I picked work that was well done...especially the audio.

Thanks,

Thanks Lee:

You'll probably like AfterGlow as well: http://www.youtube.com/user/JFRTunes?feature=mhum#p/u/2/SODI5Cx62zg

Lao here are two of my two most recent works that I haven't uploaded to Youtube yet:
http://www.box.net/shared/hq3y2otti1
http://www.box.net/shared/xi6sv0rqdo

I know many here are not happy with the Tyros as a gigging keyboard. However I use it to compose, arrange and record live to HDR. For that purpose it's wonderful and has, in my opinion, the best tenor sax sound.

Ok, forgetting what he played was poor and the mix was out by a monster level, I understand what you are expecting to see.

Lionstracs are not available in your local store and for you or anyone else to be convinced to buy before you try, you do need to be presented with good presentations showing you every aspect of the system and what it has to offer you. You need this information presented in a fun, clear and very informative way. You need to watch what is presented and to utterly be left wanting the product in the end.

I get it, but.... I'm not working for Lionstracs.

I think in the short time I have had the keyboard peoples opinions have changed greatly on much of what the system has to offer and you have heard it at all times by direct line and not from a camera mic. So I think I've done quite a bit to promote the keyboard even though it's not my place to do that.

Heck, I've even written a computer program for managing content and generating LSCP and VSTi files.

Yes Scott Lee you get the idea. I don't understand a word in German but he kept my attention and I enjoyed his playing. He keeps some kind of mistery, you don't know what it's coming next and you watch it all up to the end.

Hi Tonewheeldude
You have got a computer, so add this http://www.native-instruments.com/#/en/p...s/?content=1250 and then plug the T4 in. (Oh and set everything up to work in real time, and if you gig also make it easy to setup and dismantle)

I have this on my desktop computer at work but its only realy a novelty toy and a long, long way from a real Hammond. The XM2 would be a better bet for a Tyros owner.

By the way - I wasn't taking a shot at Roger - he is a good chap and a nice player

As the B4 VST has been discontinued (Except for Wersi OAS7 instruments) I find the best clone for a computer is the VB3 http://www.genuinesoundware.com/?a=showproduct&b=24 although with the editing available with Vintage Organs, (It has many advantages as it is a Kontakt Instrument) you can get it to sound as close as you want.

Joe, great job this is the kind of music that I enjoy listening to, and playing.

I would like to say however, as a fellow arranger player, I find that most, not all of us tend to play our instruments with the lead voice just a little too loud and out of balance for the listener. I really enjoyed your performance and songwriting skills, but I think that the lead voice overpowers (piano/sax) the track. There is a preset balance that, unless we change it ourselves that all arrangers tend to put "out front" that sometimes just isn't right.

I applaud your efforts as they were very very good, so don't take this wrong, as it is only my obsevation.

I like the sound of the Tyros and it fits very well with you style of songwriting and playing.

I have a roland G-70 and I have found that I usally have to quiet down the lead so as not overpower the style.

Having said all that I really enjoyed you playing and hope to hear more soon.

ScottC:

Thanks for listening and for your suggestions. I actually arranged the tracks with the lead voice forward. I guess it's a subjective thing. I always thought that most arranger demos I heard had the style too loud and too busy. I usually turn a few style channels off and add some reverb to open up the lead voice so that it is not too dry. But I can understand your point of view and will give your suggestion a try.
