Hi all,

"The only Yamaha softsynths to work under WinVista & Win7 are the embedded S-YXG2006LE synth included in version 7.x of Yamaha MidRadio Player http://download.music-eclub.com/midradio/download.php and S-YXG50 VSTi Softsynth Plugin, which can be found out there on the web"

The above REALLY works! I can now listen to my PSR-3000 midi files on my PC. Best wavemap found thus far.

If you first modify your midi files with MIDI Mega Voice Cleaner http://www.jososoft.dk/yamaha/software/nomegainmidi/ it will work flawlessly.

The softsynth works very well on my Windows 7 64-bit operating system. It is a shame it is Japanese and only XG lite not full XG.

Hi James,

It's certainly the best I've found thus far. Now if only someone can provide a link for a patch (VSTi) for the Mega and SA voices, it will even be better.

In any case, I'm having a ball with it on my laptop.
