Just testing out a new lens on my camera and I took a few photo's of the Mediastation I thought I'd share.

Sony Alpha A900 25Mega Pixel Camera & a Sony 100mm Macro Lens.

The high res image is only about 40% of of the full image.

Thanks. Love the camera but not sure about this lens. It's not a G-Series lens so it doesn't have the SSM drive. It's the motor driven type so it's dead slow compared to what I'm used to with my SSM drive lens.

Think I'll take it back. It seems to be suffering from indirect light problems in the photo's above too.

Hi James, can the depth of field be improved in image 3? Is this one of the limitations of any macro lens?

Yes, I would have a photo taken at F32 also. I took quite a few shots at different settings just to see what the lens was like.
