Ian and fellow members....

not sure if you were aware of this...

The Tyros was originally constructed in all metal...
But as soon as the drums sounded, it turned to plastic.

Imagine that!

As far as I knew, the Tyros was always made from plastic.

To each his own, I suppose...use whatever works for you, Lee.

Meanwhile, I'll thoroughly enjoy playing my Yamaha...as I said one time before, we all know what kind of sound we want coming out of our speakers.

I like a smooth, balanced sound, polished and sweet...that's what Yamaha provides, and that's why I play one.

It's like Bruno123 who likes the Technics sound...he's willing to give up a few things to have the sound he finds most appealing to him.

I can forgo the allegedly "live" sounding drums of the Audya and be perfectly happy with a much more cohesive, and balanced sound of the Yamaha any day.

Ian

Look guys there is only one reason the T range is made out of plastic, "BIG NUMBERS" we are talking 1000s not 100s, the T4 will be made in big numbers, people who make KBs from metal don't have their sights set too high, the cost of the tooling for a T3 case would be more than the Audya turnover in a year. Also if Yamaha do have a T4 coming on the market you can bet that Korg will have a new KB too.

After all those weird posts about the Audya ("I'm buying one, I'm not", "I'm buying one, I'm not"...etc.) he's lost all credibility.

Ian

Ian,

He never had any in the first place!!! but he is funny sometimes. He may surprise us all and buy a Ketron

I post a subject dealing with my selling my Tyros3 and then DNJ ask a question - and then everything went to the same old, same old. Saying the same old, over and over. My question is why, something that keeps repeating and in almost the same manner is boring which equals chasing people new and old away.

Sorry, it’s just the way I feel. The only word/emotion I can think of is aaaaaaaaaah!

John this always happens when someone posts an item For sale in the General forum instead of the For Sale Forum.

John,

it is a never ending war between these guys. I just don't understand how they develop an emotional attachement to plastic, metal and marketing.

By the way, I just want to thank you for a pleasant conversation the other day. I hope that my situation takes a turn for the better so that I can buy your T-3.

I've done about 500 shows with my plastic PSR-S910, and it doesn't have one scratch - and I use a gig bag, not a flight case. I do use a little extra foam, but still.
