I'm considering carrying the Roland line, and it looks like not too many new things just yet,

Are they going to make you carry the whole arranger line, or just the Prelude and GW-8? Or IS that the entire arranger line, now?

You going to get the Stage's and Juno's too? Can't wait for your review of the V-Piano, as well (best of luck selling THAT one! )...

What confuses me is the fact that we were informed fairly definitively (weren't we?) that the G70 is discontinued in the US, and yet, there it sits on RolandUS's Arranger products page, with no mention whatsoever that it is no longer on the books...

The E80 is up there too. Thought they were blowing them out at a couple of grand a pop to get rid of them? So Frank... what IS the status of the arranger line..? The website is certainly no help

Scott, I will be at NAMM this year, and I'm bringing my wife, you guys are ugly, just kidding, I will be there, let me know if you need the badge again?

Diki, Roland has discontinued the E80 and G70, as of the conversation with the Rep yesterday, but they do not leak any info unless they are able to ship within 90 days, so if they have another arranger in the works, no one will know until it's close for release.

He basically said I could have the whole line, I was generally only interested in the arranger, synths, v-accordions and drums.
But I'm going to start with arrangers and synths first

I'll chime in here with what I know from my rep in Southern California. We currently know that there are no high end arrangers still available for sale from Roland USA. No G70s and no E80s are left. I've also been told no E50s, E60s are left.
So, there are only GW8s, Preludes and the home digital pianos (KR series).
When I ask if there will be new models coming I get a "we don't know" from the folks at Roland.

correct me if i'm wrong...but

wouldn't it be to the manufacturers advantage to tell us if there's something coming soon??
if there is a new kick @ss arranger in the works, why not tell us?
i mean they don't have to go into details about specs or release dates...

that may make people wait to buy that "next" arranger
let's say i'm a Roland fanboy (which i'm not), who is thinking of getting an AUDYA, and Roland tells me there will a new flagship arranger out soon,
i may wanna wait to see then and buy their product....

not asking for release dates or specs, just want to know if i should wait...

make it known to your customers,
you have nothing to lose and everything to gain

That's exactly why they are not saying anything. It will effect the sale of what little they do have to sell right now.

It's standard company policy among many manufactures.

Frank or George. Would either of you be able to handle a VP-770 sale with a VP-550 trade-in? The VP-550 is pristine without so much as a speck of dust. Absolutely no visible signs of use. Original packing. What would be the bottom line for me? Hey, I'll even throw in a brand spanking new Zoom RT-223 for free.

Also, I would trade a Brand new in original packing, Fantom G7 with Sample memory upgrade (1gb) and all current software updates (not a scratch anywhere) for a Alexis DM-10 (I have one on order but could cancel) and Nord Electro 3.

OR, same Fantom G7 + VP-550 + RT-223 (and maybe a little cash) for VP-770 and Alexis DM-10 and Korg M50.

If any interest, let me know and I'll call or email you.

Hello,
one of the last E80 produced in Italy shows the OS 2.03/2009 July 01/18:16:06. It seems to me that there are people working on an OS without any notice. An OS for a new Arranger???
Greetings
Rolman
