There are a few SH-201 owners here. Not sure if you know, but Roland released a massive 400 patches for the SH-201.., and for FREE!

Some of those are exclusive patches from keyboard greats such as Jordan Rudess, and Jarre.

Thanks, Squeak. This will make me actually play the one I got from George over a year ago. It's been turned on once.

Thanks,

Russ

A bit off your topic, Squeak, but here is a site with some cool synth info...all about older instruments from the 70's....you may find it interesting; may not, but in any case, here's the link buddy.

Nice link... makes you remember how far we've come (and how bad things have gotten )...

Fat, ballsy synths that were bitches to play live, compared to wunderkinder that do everything, but sound castrated. Ain't progress grand?

Mind you, for anyone that bitches about the price of an Audya (me included!), look up the new price of a Yamaha CS80, and convert to 2009 dollars...

Yep...we get a lot bang for the buck today.

My old Polymoog, with optional Polypedal, was nearly $7000 Cdn. back in the 70's.

Sold it to a guy who played in church...they liked the pipe organ sound and the strings.

It was actually easy to get parts for...I know all to well unfortunately...don't miss it...very temperamental, but should do well if it isn't moved.

My Jupiter 8 was quite expensive when new too, but I got it second hand at an estate sale for a really low price....it's worth a few bucks today, I'm told.

Great link Ian! Thanks Currently I'm trying to sell off my Novation Xio to get a real analogue box
