Hi everyone,

Over the weekend, I went to my local GC to check out midi controllers and came home with the Yamaha KX61 Bundle for $139 (Labor Day Sale) It came with Cubase4 AI and a Mega Vst dvd packed with instruments and samples and Yamaha KX tools disk, manual and usb cable.

After, setting it up on my Mac Mini (don't ask, it was not an easy task installing Cubase 4 AI on Snow Leopard!)and registering was not fun either! I did succeed though. I was able to control Cubase with the KX dedicated buttons! It works great!

They still sell the KX61 at GC for $199

I think it is a discontinued item. It does have its own website though with setup videos:
http://www.xfactorvst.com/

It has built in 342 arpeggios and ports with CUBASE 4, CUBASE Studio 4, CUBASE AI, Logic 7.2,Digital Performer 5.1- works with Reason but you have to assign the buttons in Reason. Keybed is better than my PSR S700!!

Xfactor DVD comes wit 1.3gigs of instruments that are really incredible. I have not tried them all yet. Having alot of fun with this midi controller. What a neat buy!

Also, it has 342 arpeggios built in. I just love those arpeggios!

Thought I would share,

-Linda
