What is your favorite sharing site for uploading our music to and why? (Not YouTube)

I think Myspace is very popular because you can get a site that's very memorable for people. Like mine is www.myspace.com/larrylevin. If you have a band page, other people don't have to be myspace members to enter your page.

I use two sites because once in a while someone complains that they can't hear the audio. There are always glitches with one site or another.

The other site I use is www.reverbnation.com. I wouldn't use reverbnation alone because once in a while people can't open their player if they have their pop up blocker up. The good thing about reverbnation is that it gives you very detailed stats. Also, you can get an app for your facebook page and have a player right on your facebook page.

I am not fearful of technology - taught for Cisco and Novell before I retired and supported extremely large networks. But - I am not comfortable yet with all the web based sites needing info about me etc. All I want to do is put up a few songs like is being done here for the Jam. I have a website for my music business.

Hammer, I'm sure you could find a free website, such as one supplied by your ISP, with enough space to upload a few songs.
Then you just post a link to it.
I used to have one from Lycos that worked well. In fact it's probably still there, but I don't update it any more.

Google, Yahoo and AOL all have/had free website access, especially for current account members. I use google pages, but they have stopped taking in new accounts. They have a new site name for new accounts. I have been quite satisfied with their page creator and the available space - and I can open more sites as needed. Yahoo has geocities and AOL has something similar. My ISP also gives me free webspace.
