Hi, greatings from Brazil !!!

I'm a user of Roland's Synts and very suspects to talk about another vendor...

My set is about 2 synths and 3 modules from Roland. I don't like the sound of Alesis and Ensoniq, I think Roland is more fat and clear.

I have a XP-80 and a SC880 the PCMs is very simillars but XP is more fat. SC haves much more patches than the XP non expanded.

If you are looking for a sound generator for only sequences, buy a SC880. It's more easy to operate and so simple to receive dumps of sets for any midi file.

The XP is more simple to live performances.

Best Regards.

Its basicly down to the question of which one you prefer and of cause the price.
But if you alredy have a QS(X) or a JV/XP(X) choose the other. Its not a bad idea to have synths from different manufactures.
