I still love my Korg PA800, but I miss the simple, generic easy 8 or 16 patters that I have always had from Roland and Yamaha. Has anyone ever converted something like this?

I agree that the Roland and some Yamaha styles are simpler. One of the things about my old iX300 was that styles were too stylized. But I loved that #44 (I think) Blues. I made it a BSQ and then a midi and use it still for "Before You Accuse Me".

I'm saving that question for the day that I ask you about the gutters on my patio too .... Then, we go to Dairy Delight!

Who's holding the ladder that day?

But the Dairy Delight sounds great!

Hi Uncle Dave,
anything specific from Yamaha??
I've converted the odd style.

To convert a Yammie style to Korg PA800 doesn't require EMC conversion software. EMC is faster, though not as accurate as manually converting from a psr style saved in midifile format.

I use both methods. If EMC messes it up , I convert from a midifile.

I still keep my PSR1500, as a cross reference for tweaking.

Hi Rikki!
I really miss the simplicity of the styles on the psr3000 sometimes. If I get you the names, maybe you'll have a few, huh?
Thanx ...
Dave

Hi Uncle Dave
if you get me the names, I can give it a go.
I always share my stuff with my style group, so they may be of use to other members as well.

EMC basically does a quickie conversion, they only take a few minutes to do.
It's tweaking that can take time.
So if you could give them to me in order of preference.
Some may be easier than others, plus psr1500 & psr3000 share a number of the same styles. It's easier doing the psr1500 vers. as they don't use megavoices.

best wishes
Rikki
