Good question man! Sure has been quiet around here lately regarding the MS. Wonder if Dom's getting hit from the slipping economy (I can only imagine what production costs are like for a small keyboard company)

Geeeez..., and you thought the Audya was expensive! Could you imagine the cost on a pro arranger with that merger???????

Drastic measures are being taken to save many companies....mergers can be a way out in this economy.....& yes price is a key consideration.....the days of expensive keyboards are over if they want to stay afloat.....prices will have to be slashed considerably. Look whats happening to the Auto industry.....more people are buying used or fixing old...simple philosophy.
I dont think music manufacturers are on the Bailout list All those Italian KB companies kmow each other very well.

And you wonder why I keep my Roland's for ever...

I just don't see the point in incremental upgrades. Wait for something revolutionary, buy it, then wait for the NEXT revolutionary thing. It's usually about 8-10 years...

Interesting Donny..., when you take into consideration the dent software apps have put into keyboard sales you'd think they'd be coming down on the prices.... to compete and keep buyers. Yet Yamaha's T3 is nearly 4 grand.., then Yamaha announces they're actually jacking their prices...

Pro arrangers just keep going up..., and so do the pro workstations.., funny too because the budget workstations and budget arrangers are killing in sales. Boards like the M50, Juno-G, MO series, S900/700/550, Korg PA (mid/budget line).., are doing quite well... Not sure how Roland's going to fair with the GW-8/Prelude though.

"revolutionary" That's what everyone hopes the Audya & MS will be how far can revolutionary really go before its considered by your audiences not even playing anymore but more DJ'ing? haven't we lost enough credibility already with all this high tech stuff?
