Did you ever see the customers in a health-food store? They are pale, skinny people who look half dead.

In a pizza place, or steak house you see robust, happy people.

They're dying of course but they look terrific.

Oh my, I can't believe I wasted about 15 minutes reading every post in this thread. Wow, here we go again.

Anyway, I enjoyed meeting the people I've never met. Some very good musicians in this bunch!

Thanks to AJ for making the effort to bring that new machine to us. And thanks to Don for his preparation, hosting and hospitality, to Susan and Jay for the food, and to Joe Lee for giving IMMENSE amounts of his time to recording/editing video.

... and thanks to Bill (semilive). I was having serious back trouble. Bill came to my house, loaded all the gear, part in my van and part in his truck. Then he unloaded it all at the Jam, helped set it up, and did the same routine AFTER the Jam.
He also helped MC the Jam and contributed some great music.
Eddie, we may have to have a small jam in the summer!

I realize the guys up north are busy in the summers, which is really my soft season. But April sounds like a good compromise. We might even be able to tempt Donny, if food is involved.

Donny,

Where did you get those dates, and are they etched in stone?

Pretty much Gary.....this way we're in-between NAMM & Superbowl Sunday. Get ready this Jam is an ongoing annual thing now.

Nothing says we can't have spring/summer AND a January edition.
It will be tough to find dates that suit everybody.

chas ... sometimes that can be tough in the 'digital-talk' world ...
but while I was HOPING it was 'tongue-in-cheek' (hence all my 'smileys' in my response), I have some friends who have moved to southern states only to find that 'chain-store pizza' is about all they can get ...
And while we all - well at least a good majority of us - like to believe that OUR OWN ethnic food can only be made by people of our own ethnicity because it has to 'come from the heart, nowadays with people of all ethnic backgrounds being interested in just making really good food, we find first class chefs of any ethnic background making great dishes of any OTHER ethnic background ...
If the recipe is great and followed perfectly, more often than not the final product is great, no matter who is at the stove ...
Just watch the Food Network enough and you will see what I mean ... ...

And not that I want to find something to disagree with you on, but the "best lasagna on the planet' comes from Lydia's kitchen ... NO ONE in our family or anywhere else makes it better ... I am a VERY lucky man !!!
And as a great chef once said, "We are concerned with taste, we cannot worry about your health!!!"
