1. "Haneiros Halalu" (Chabad)

2. "Chanukah oh Chanukah"

3. "Maoz Tzur"

4. "I have a little Dreidel"

5. "Light up the nights" (Miami Boys Choir)

Are you Jewish?

Which Chanukah functions are you playing by?

Hi Shim,
Thanks for the listing....I am not Jewish but ...I'll be doing a few Mixed Holiday affairs in the next two weeks....just want to be prepared. I'm good with everything else.

My top five for a mainstream Chanuka event would be:

- I have a little Dreidel
- Maoz Tzur
- Oh Chanuka, Oh Chanuka!
- Hanerot Halalu (traditional)
- Sevivon

And don't forget Adam Sandler's "Chunuka": http://video.google.com/videosearch?hl=e...num=4&ct=title#

I'm always so grateful of the information (fies) I receive from SZ members; we are all so generous. Sometimes I feel a little selfish when I see requests for info that I too would like, but would not ask for.

Wouldn't it be nice if we could have a location here on the Zone where members could upload their files for viewing only by SZ members. Of course it would have to be password protected, maybe only having to re-type your SZ ID and password to gain access.

I have many things I could make available for members that I would not want to share on a public site. Just a thought (one of my few ) ...

AND

...might be too large or cumbersome for simple emailing.

My list is:

- Hanukkah, Oh Hanukkah
- Maoz Tzur (Rock of Ages)
- Mi Y'malel (Who can Retell)
- S'vivon
- I had a little dreidel
- Happy Hanukkah, My Friend (The Hanukkah Song)

Not traditional. It's in english and is done as a choral piece in a lot of elementary schools. Written by Justin WIlde and Doug Konecky.

One I do for fun is a parody on the 12 days of Christmas, called the 8 Days of Chanukah.

On the 1st day of Chanukah my true love gave to me lox bagels and some cream cheese.
2nd day 2 kosher pickles
3rd day 3 lbs. of corned beef
4th day 4 potatoe latkes
5th day 5 bowls of chicken soup
6th day 6 cheese blintzes
7th day 7 noodle kugels
8th day 8 alka seltzer

I even play it for non Jewish crowds. It always breaks them up.
