While reading the Fishman Solo thread I came across these. Have you seen these used anywhere? Would this be something a OMB might use with/besides all that arranger stuff?

Scarin' you? You'd always be in time and have some percussive rhythm to go along. If you're playing split keyboard and using left hand bass, this is your drummer without all the extras. I'd like to hear one live; there are a few on YouTube, but live would give me a better feel for what's happening. As an organ guy, or even solo piano this could be something "interesting."

The G70 is just fine. My FC-7 pedal arrived from Goran - it's a beauty, and he was a joy to work with. But, I'm still waiting for my lousy 1gb CF card to arrive. I gave mine up to my e60 buyer and couldn't find a reasonably sized or priced CF card near me. But the G70 sounds great and feels great. It's good to be back behind the behemoth.

Can't you just edit a style so it has kick ONLY?

Actually, you can use Makeup Tools to quickly go to the Drum Part, solo it, then go to the individual drum sounds, and solo the Kick... same thing, easy to do, and save-able.

There are just so many ways to skin a cat...

But Diki, that's not the idea. With an arranger or simple drum machine and a tap tempo pad you can do this and a whole lot more. I brought this subject up because I know a lot of us play non-arrangers (style)as well as our arranger gear. It's an acoustic thing and brings things down to the basic elements. For a couple hundred bucks maybe someone could find or explore new territory with something like this.

Eric, actually I'm most fascinated by this Farmer Footdrum. I think it borders on getting to be too involved, but it's cool. Also, it's $945.

Used to be an old solo blues guitar player around town. Retired deputy, would bring a piece of plywood on the floor and just lay a mic on it to catch the foot tapping.
