I'm fedup with the sound quality of the Korg's on board speakers. it just DOESN'T sound good.

Now, can anyone reccomend an alterante speaker set?
I really want the crispness and "oomph" of the Yamaha (keyboard).
Thanks

I haven't heard the Pa500 speakers, but I am very happy with the Pa800 ones. However it is very important that you activate the master equalizer and adjust it to your liking. Have you tried this on your Pa500.

Kind regards,
Tommy

Tommy is right, I have done a touch up in the Master EQ and is GREAT !, works in all PA 500,800, 2x models.
Now if you want more volume/power, that will depend of what room size, audience, gig type, your budget, etc...then from a small powered speaker, active monitors, small PA system to large, etc.

I agree with the others. Adjust the master EQ on your 500. You'd be surprised what master EQ adjustments can do for any keyboard. If you're just using the speakers at default you'll notice a HUGE difference when you adjust the master EQ to your liking, and I would be very surprised if the 500 didn't have preset master eq settings as well.
