I just check and Allens Music in Sydney have one on the shop floor which i am going to try out today.

the price is $6,000.00 !!!!! That's ridiculous!!

I don't think any Tyros model has ever been that expensive??

I got my Tyros 2 about 2 months after it came out here and i only paid about $4,400.00 for it.

The PSR S900 at ($2,200.00)is almost a third of the price of a Tyros 3!!!!

I am still considering purchasing an S900 and just using the motif sounds through it...

Although i am completely in love with the Motif XS, i still miss the arranger functionality...

Hey, the Australian dollar ain't what it used to be. Three months ago, you could get 98.5 US cents to a dollar; now you can only get 66c.

It converts to about $US4000. Try offering $AUS 5000. I've found that Allen's Music will negotiate...

I found out that the reason there were not any when you called BM, was they were SUPPOSED to get three, which is what I was told previously, but only got one.

I spoke to Rudi and he said he can do one for you (and he will have it in stock next week) for $5.5K including shipping to Sydney. ( I assumed you were in Sydney ).. But he's a good guy, so maybe give him a call if you have no joy with Allens, and he may even do a bit better..

but there is no chance i am going to pay over 5k for a keyboard.

I will wait a few months for them to go down as they usually do.

I will wait until i can pick one up for around the 4 to 4.5k mark...

I might also hold off and get the S900...

I actually didn't like the size of the Tyros 3, the Motif and PSR range are much more compact / lighter, and they all fit nice and snug in the back of my Nissan silvia / 200sx!

No probs Nick...I totally understand.. I have also never paid over $4500 for a keyboard!!

Personally I think the RRP of the T3 is ridiculous, and I also agree the pricing will go down once the dust settles.

Hi Nick,
I found Allen's weren't interested in doing a deal on the T2 when it first came out either.
Give them a few months & our slowing economy ( under dumb & dumber), & you'll probably pick one up cheaper down the track.
