I will have a Stereo set-up using 2 BOSE PAS L1s with 2 double bass systems

I am going to have it catered so let's see how many we can get.

I couldn't see this array of keyboards in the NYC stores even. I'll definitely be there. I'm very interested in learning how the Ketron units differ from each other and their main selling points. Also would like to try a Midjay with an 88 note controller keyboard.

Having that G-70 and an E-80 would be even more icing on the cake, but I've learned to stop believing in the tooth fairy.

To those of you concerned about the travel, I drove up the first time, but this time around I'm going to take a train into NYC and from there it's a 90 minute ride to Frank's place.

I won't get another chance to see these instruments again so I'm making the all-out effort!

Don,

I'm confused. I thought you were playing an SD5 on the job. Or, are you also using a MidJay/controller keyboard setup?

Lately I've been using Midjay with controller.
Now I also have a Roland E50.

I wouldn't go that far. Two extra MFX DSP blocks and another Mastering EFX block (more than the T2/T3 upgrade), extra drum kits (including drum loops), extra sounds (two more completely new grand pianos, just for starters), extra styles, many, many extra OS enhancements (bitmap screen display of scans being my favorite, MP3 playback my least ), the E80 is quite a leap over the G70.

Shame they don't make it with the G70's action... I'd have it already!

In that light then, would it be better to bring the E80 instead? Can I safely say the E80 has over 99% of what the G70 has and kill to birds with one stone?

AJ,

You know your keyboards inside and out. Bring what YOU think is appropriate with the Roland's.

As for myself, I played the G-70 Version 1 for a couple of days when they first came out. I liked it, but it was a bit too contemporary for what I do. Roland told me Version 3 (the newest) was a "huge" improvement.

I haven't played the E-80 at all.

The S900 and the Korg I could live without.

I wouldn't mind either Roland if YOU think they are similar though I'm inclined towards the E-80 if you have it.

Also...this is a rare chance to see all these keyboards together. Can you consider starting earlier in the morning? I'd like to spend some time on each one.

BTW...I'd be happy with a Big Mac!

Lucky
