Hi all. Just bought a Casio Privia PX410R to try to learn piano after using arrangers for a few years. Also want to be able to play over Midi files but can't get lyrics to display. The board is advertised as being able to display lyrics and they are there if I pla the file on laptop using VanBasco but Casio doesn't seem to display them. Any ideas anyone?

The older model Casio keyboards that displayed lyrics needed to be in Format 0...but I honestly don't believe your keyboard is capable ... display lyrics...

The model you mention is not in the latest USA price list. Are you in another country? I know nothing about this model. Here in the USA there is the PX120, PX320 and PX575R.

I think his unit is the UK version of the 575R. I'm pretty sure I saw this model he owns on the Intern. Casio Site. If it's not the 575R it's the model before it.

The Casio adverts say it can display lyrics and my Midis are in format 0, however it looks like they also have to be converted into a Casio format of some sort. I'm away working for a few days now and will have another try on Monday. I am from UK by the way. Thanks for your input everyone. Hope I get it sorted before next gig. Cheers.

After looking at the specs on this model, it does seem to be exactly the same as the PX-575R which I sell here in the USA. This model does not display lyrics from midi files. I can't see anything in the literature for the 410 that says it can show lyrics.

Maybe lyrics have to be in proprietary Casio format.
They have software for this keyboard in this page. http://www.casio-europe.com/euro/emi/cms/

It lets you make rhythms, user tones etc, maybe it has to do with this function also.
