Now adays most of the audio amplifiers have digital inputs(SPDIF)like Logitech z5500 etc and other keyboards such as Korg PA1X,2X have Digital outputs but i have not seen in Yamaha arranger keyboards including Tyros2.I cannot understand why Yamaha skimp on the digital out?
I hope atleast Tyros3 will have Digital output.

Sunny.

Most home stereo systems have a digital input, but they are still few and far between on most musician PA's, and low-to-mid priced sound reinforcement...

Be careful what you ask for Sunny.., that just might be a $200 addition on a future Tyros model for that feature alone.

Diki is quite correct, and you also have to take into consideration that not all D/A converters are created equal, (In all instances the digital information has to be converted into analogue at some stage, so that we can hear it) and the ones in keyboards are designed specifically for that purpose, which means you would probably need to spend a good amount of money to get an external one that is better.

Regards

Bill

The new Motif Rack XS has a digital output. You could MIDI it to your keyboard and output everything through the digital output on the Rack XS to your sound system or computer if your computer also has a sound card, etc., with a coaxial digital input.

Here is the info about the Motif Rack XS:

Motif-Rack XS specifications and other info

Best,
Mike

Korg are the only big 3 manufacturer to base their TOTL arranger on an actual TOTL WS. Hence, the ease of putting such a 'pro' connector on there (it's already available for the WS), although you would be surprised at how few 'pros' actually use the digital outs, due to the problem of clocking multiple digital devices together in a complex keyboard setup

Neither Roland, nor Yamaha have any connection whatsoever with their company's TOTL WS, except at the very core of the processor and some samples, so I/O is designed specifically for the target buyer...

Heck, if a 76 is too 'pro' to be included in an arranger, what chance is there of a digital out?
