Beaky why the change over to FBT? I thought you loved the JBL's?

I was happy with the JBLs. However, sometimes, I noticed that I didn't have enough bass response. Also, I am occasionally undergunned for larger gigs.

The FBT had this great review, and it had, according to specs (and in reality as well) much better bass response. It can also churn out more watts, and it only weighs 4 lbs more.

So I thought, what the heck. Whether I can get my money back through improved client satisfaction is iffy, but this is a hobby for me as well.

When we A/B'd the JBl g2 10's although they make a great tops w/a SUB in a 3pc system they really lacked in the low end department for FULL sound enforcement compared to a few of the others. So I understand your concerns & with you good luck with your new FBT speakers, please let us know how they are after you perform with them.

I am gigging with the FBTs. The bass is much richer. I don't notice any other difference in sound quality, but I haven't A/B'd them.
