Finally reached Tony last night. Man, he's a real survivor. The downturn in the American economy has really affected tourism in his area, and he has been experiencing a raspy voice problem...tough when you sing in your own club and are the main attraction.

He's a real survivor, though, and says hello to all folks here. This downturn comes after his dramatic re-build from major weather damage a while back.

Let's all hope for the best for him and his young family and his business.

I talked to Tony 2 weeks ago also....
hes trying best he can...after what he went thru with Hurricane Katrina etc, ...
I wish him only GOOD LUCK!!

Tony is a great guy and a true gentleman. I certainly hope he can weather this economic storm; Katrina really demolished his place. The new Embassy Restaurant is a very nice, clean, quaint place. Tony, I wish you only good tidings and best of luck.

I only have two additional things to say:
1. Any SZ member who makes it to Cozumel and doesn't stop to see Tony is not a true SZ member IMO.
2. When you go to visit Tony, keep your wife close by. Tony LOVES the women
