As I consider the purchase of the pa800 the price keeps going up because of the add ons.
I am bauking at present because I cannot preview the MP3 add on before I buy.

Has anyone any vocals recorded so that I can hear how they sound.

If you wish any contributions will be for my ears only and no comments will be made.

Nice stuff Donny...

How was this done? Is it style play, SMF or audio tracks..?

If the trumpet isn't real, it's one of the best I've heard

It was all recorded live one shot on the Pa800 using I think the SWING Ballad 2 or Orchestra Ballad style into the Mp3 card at the highest rate.....I just threw in some Vocals, Harmony, Piano & Strings on top..

I agree the Korg really has some excellent sounds like the Jazz Trumpet 1 .......

Great Closing number!

I am indebted to you Donny.

You always perform well but this the best example of your vocals I have heard.

I am after a natural sounding vocal recording when I sing.

By the way did you install the MP3 board yourself and have you the hard disk installed.

I intalled the MP3 player in five minutes. The back plate comes off with two screws. You pull out the connector, flip it over, and slip in. Personally, I find a hard disk quite unnecessary, with USB slots front and rear. I have a 2GB TD in front for style based songs and SMF, and a 6GB in rear for MP3 files. Like Donny, my unit works flawlessly.

That trumpet part, it IS the Korg's Intro part isn't it?

Or did you play that live...?

The phrasing on it is superb.

Hi Ken,
another thing to bear in mind is to try out the styles & make sure they suit your style of music.
There aren't the number of user styles floating around for Korgs as there are for the Yamaha's.
Your dealer offered you an incredible price, but it's only a bargain if the keyboard suits your needs.

Given the choice I'd go for the Korg any day, but what suits me may not neccesarily be the best choice for someone else.

best wishes
Rikki
