In hsort I am amazed at how many great reviews this thing is getting. Anyong out there got any thoughts or own one.

Also, I'm really confused as to why the JP8000 still costs the same as the 8080?

Thanks in advance

Well, i got a jp8080 after a long time of drooling at the shop.
I compared it to a nordlead micro and i even tested out an mc505.
The mc505 is identically to my jv1080 so i didn't bother getting that.
I could have gotten 2 nordlead micro's for the price of one jp8080 but folks, the jp8080 kicks major ass, it's a perfect combination of kick-ass-phatness and mindblowing sweep pads.
Sure, the filters are stepped, the attack at 0 gives a noise but you get over these things.
I got one sitting in parallell mode, (2 voices split left/right).
So i get 2 voices out of it, send 'em thru a TC Finalizer and instant karma.
The tb303 factory preset kicks ass and when you think it's crunched to the max you discover they only put 20% distortion on!!
If you *lack* a certain *feel* in your music, try doing your stuff with a jp8080.
It rockz.

Basically costs the same because
More Guts (vocodor, eff, etc.) = Keyboard (a fairly expensive part of a board)
