Dear Michael,

I'm "redistributing" this, as it is a very good summary of "what's where" for making styles. Who knows, maybe someone, somewhere, will read it and get inspired

Cheers,

Bob

Hello Scott,
The program for converting PA80 styles to midi style parts (as used in PSR styles) is PAStyleTool. This is available for free download at http://www.korgpa.com/Paz/en/PaMain.html
This works only with PA80 style files.

If you want to convert other korg styles like i3 and i30 to midi style parts you can download another free program called Kit. However Brian Miles has kindly converted all the korg i-series styles to PSR and you can find them in Brian Miles folders at http://www.spectromagic.com/cgi-bin/ftp.cgi

The program for converting midi style parts (or any midi file) to PSR style
is Stylemaker written by a member of this group, Michael Bedesem. This is available for free download at http://svpworld.com/psr_software.htm#stylemanager
This software has to be used with a sequencer like Cakewalk or XGworks

There is also another free program for making PSR styles from midi files called Midi2Style written by Jørgen Sorensen. You can download from http://home7.inet.tele.dk/js/midi2style

If you want to convert for example Technics or Roland styles I think you can only use a commercial program which I am told is very good called EMC styleworks which you can use for converting nearly all keyboard brands styles. Details at http://www.tastenshop.com/taste/ Prices start at Euro 199.00

If this does not answer your questions please mail again.
Regards,
Michael

Hello Michael

How does one change one of these styles to midi? Can you use the same
process on any brand disk? The other program you mentioned is that
the free midi to style disk that I downloaded from somewhere?

Thanx

Scott

then to PSR using Michael Bedesems STYLEMAKER program. Some PA80
styles are the same as i30 so it is possible we already have these in
the archive. I checked best I could!!
