Kind of off topic but thought it is important to share. As the eBay community grows bigger and bigger, the opportunity for scams also grows. Thankfully, my curiousity helped me stay away from two recent PSR3000 scams and helped get the sellers busted.

Here are my suggestions when buying bigger ticket items like keyboards:

- ask lots of questions. If they are not willing to answer them, most likely it is a scam.
- regardless of where they are located, tell them you have a relative that lives nearby that would like to come check out the item before you bid on it.
- ask if they are willing to use an escrow service.
- I even went as far as asking them to send me a photo of the keyboard with that day's newspaper in the picture.
