If you are interested, I have just uploaded a simple original recording made on tyros, entitled "Sweet Breeze". I've gone for an open and light 8 beat feel, no strong melodies and incorporating sweet oboe, cool electric piano, live! acoustic steel dyno guitar and strings together with a modified 8 beat. Enjoy!

The mp3 is available at :

Hi Simon:
I can tell you are truly enjoying the Tyros based on this great rendition. As Terry said, my kind of music as well. The guitars sound "outstanding", you can almost visualize the guitar player behind them. Loved the "easy" relaxed latin tempo and the whole arrangement in general. You are a "real" Pro Simon.
Enjoyed your Piano demo as well.
Regards,
Mario

Thanks Mario, I guess the late evening and drop of brandy inspired me on this one! I'm practising at getting those guitar sounds sweet, they do require a lot of technique to get the best of but its worth it! I recorded everything on the tyros, and it was a pleasure. The recording features are a real breeze on the tyros, though you do need to be careful when selecting the tracks to record. Tyros used the up/down buttons under the display, the upper buttons for tracks 1-8 and the lower ones for 9-16. Its very easy if you don't pay attention to choose say track 9 instead of 1 and wipe out some of your recording! Worse if you wipe the bass line as you have to rerecord the entire style.. Well I've done it a couple of times! What is nice though is recording to memory instead of repeatingly having to save to disk all the time as I did on the 740 and 9000.

Simon

Thoroughly enjoyed that Simon. Reminds me of Kenny G., but on Oboe.

Simon,

Nice tune with an infectous light rythym and "KennyGesque" Melody Line...I would however would have loved to hear some different sounds used maybe in the bridge, eg: Flugel Horn, Flute, Soft Alto, other then that a splendid performance. Thankyou for sharing.......

Thanks for the advice, perhaps I'll make something out of this idea. I enjoy playing the guitars along with the style, its good practice for technique though forget trying to play the megavoices manually! Actually the live! steel guitar voices incorporate many of the megavoice samples, though sadly not the strum effect. More to come!

Regards
Simon

I like it, to me it has a real Carpenters feel. Especially the horn section.

Can't wait for my TYROS! Hopefully in a couple of weeks it'll be on its way to Boston!

Hi Simon,

great tune. I enjoyed it thoroughly.
A really great demo of the Tyros.
I'm with Dnj, a couple of different sounds added and you've got a killer tune.

Eric
