I bought the EV Sxa100's. They'll arrive in 5-6 days. That makes my set-up complete (PSR2000, SXA100's, headset mic, and I'm all set to go). Thanks to Brian, Scottyee, UD, and the rest for helping with my 'expensive' decision. Hopefully, I made the right choice. (I bought them sight-unseen, on the advise of my fellow forum friends). Thanks again!

Congratulations, Angelo.
Will you try them out at your Barry Manilow recital?

Angelo: Congratulations and welcome to the PSR2000/EV SxA100 club !

For a lightweight, quick EZ PA setup with impressive sound, just plug the EVs (either one, for those small venues, or 2 when you want stereo) directly into your kb, but to fully maximize the sound potential of the SxA100's, send the signal out from your kb thru a dedicated mixer like the Mackie 1202 first, and then to EV PA speakers.

Yes, Dreamer, they should sound great with "Mandy" coming out of them!

Scott -

Do you have these up on stands or do you use them on the floor? I'm just wondering if they're mountable on stands?

Though you can just sit them on the floor on its side (with included plastic riser), for better sound coverage, I prefer placing mine up on 'Ultimate Support' brand aluminum tripod stands. The SxA100's come with a hole on the bottom for securing to the stands. - Scott

Angelo, congratulations on your new speaker system. I am also looking to get SXA100s, but unfortunately, by the time I saw the posts here about the GC having them on clearance for $350 apiece, my local GC was all out of them. If you don't mind me asking, what did you pay for them and where?

Regards,
Alex

Alex,

The price was $499.99 at Sam Ash. They had a special 15 month same-as-cash special that I just couldn't resist. I think Brian (B2) also took advantage of this great offer. (I was slow on the draw with GC as well). Looking forward to share tips with you and others on the forum regarding this new setup!

Angelo...Great news!! I'm happy for you and confident you'll love the EV's. You are exactly right. I bought them through SAM ASH with 15 month interest free, no payments. You don't get the most rock bottom price, but it's close, and the fact you can purchase something you need (or want) and gig for almost a year and a half to pay for it, is a sweet deal. They run that 15 month speacial as well as a year special from time to time, so keep an eye out. Also, I too utilize a mixer in my set up. How do you like the quality of the Audio Technica mic and headset? I bought a sennheiser mic (wireless), but was planning on a Audio Technica backup (chord). Also heard the EV mics (higher end) were good. Anyhow, congrats on the new setup. It's an exciting time....Brian
