Hello,

I have finaly bought 9kPro and I am still in
learning mode so I would like to ask you some question.

I have experienced some problems with
Roland styles which I converted to my
9kPro.
If I play minor chords I lose my percussion beat but if I use major chords everything is there again.
Is there any parametar which should be set
to avoid this or something went wrong during style conversion ?
I have used EMC universal.
Anyone had similar experience ?
...
Another question ...
The accomp. part has always same dynamic no mater how hard or soft I play on 9kPro.
Can this be changed to "touch" sensitive like with the right hand ?

Thanks !

Denis

Hi Denis,

Congrats to your new Pro.

I had the same problems with some converted Styles.
The fault occurs during style conversion.
There is nothing wrong with your Pro.
I don't have a solution for you. Maybe someone else will.

Regarding the accomp. part, only in the newer models will you find the dynamic feature. Sorry.

I will try to send you some CVP-209 Styles, so you don't have to worry about your Roland Styles.
You just have to adjust the volume of each instrument to your liking.

Enjoy

Eric

Eric,

I am little bit disappointed to hear that
Yamaha didn't include the dynamic auto accomp. in this model.
Even my old KORG i2 had this feature and I know for sure that VA-5 has it too.

Do you know if someone can be contacted from Yamaha to include this in the next OS release ?

Thanks a lot !

Denis

Hi Denis,

a good person to talk to about the OS update would be George Kay, since he has a good report with Yamaha.

You can call them directly: (714)522-9000

Maybe they will pass it on to Yamaha Japan

BTW glad you like the styles.
I really like them too.

Good luck

Eric
