DonM just make sure that Rikki's soft synths don't crash while she is trying to decide what next to buy. It could be another keyboard....perish the thought!!! There must be a point of deminishing returns....how many keyboards can one person play at the same time???? At least Rikki turns some of them around for others to use!!!

I guess I best swing for that upgrade so I can monitor the 'rock' & 'roll'.

Ok folks, I'm getting excited now . Only 24 hours till I get to see, touch, and perhaps even play this new Ketron entry firsthand. I'll let you all know my impressions.

Scott

I recall the threads where some members posted preliminary information with many correct and relevant details about a Yamaha (or was it a Roland) keyboard, and it was met with the uproar from the other members of this forum as dirty sales tricks. At the time I defended posting the early info and still do.

However the posts from Dan and AJ about this new Ketron represent the new low. These contain NO information for the others - where is all the outrage?

For all the good work AJ is doing for Ketron, I would say - either provide us with the information, or keep quiet. If you are not allowed to talk about it - don't.

I am sure that this new Ketron is a nice instrument, and represents a new repackaging of the old technologies. The 128 note polyphony is peaking my interest. Regrettably, it is immediately cooled off by the minimalist 61 keys.

IMHO, if you started to talk about something, then go ahead and finish telling us. In other words, put up or .... ..

Alex,
This new keyboard, as I've been told, is not to replace the SD1+ 76 key flag ship model. This is a keyboard which will be priced about the same as the current XD9 but will have more buttons for the player rather than having to go deep into menus. Because I am a dealer, AJ couldn't go into much detail when describing this new model but was very excited because he had a lot of input in it's creation. The styles and layout are much of his input.
The replacement for the current SD1 is not coming at this NAMM show.

Don,

I have to admit that you had me going there for a moment also. On the surface it seemed unlikely that you would have seen it already but then I thought that you were such a powerful and key player in the music industry that maybe you got an advanced showing. Remember paybacks are ........
