HI all,
I,ve finally made my mind up and traded in my WK4 GEM for a PSR 2100.Only got it today
and so far I am very inpressed with what a little 12.5 watt system can kick out.
My Wk4 had 2, 25watt speakers but the Yam has a much bigger and fuller sound system.

Regards 1 happy keyboard player.

Hey Daz,

How's the keyboard feel (comparing the 2100 to the WK4)?

I'd also be curious to hear your opinions about the individual sounds, pianos, guitars, wind instruments, etc.

When you get a chance.....

Enjoy the new keyboard!

Daz,

Sounds like you're going to have a lot of fun in the ensuing weeks and months. If you run into something that you don't understand, hop over to www.psrtutorial.com and you'll find a complete tutorial on how to use this amazing keyboard. You'll also find more third-party style files that anyone can imagine.

Enjoy,

Gary

I absolutely love this thing.I've had several Gem boards and had problems.

Now that ive had a couple of days on the psr 2100 I feel like that I've been missing out something for all the years that i have played on the GEM.

The keyboard is a very light action, but compared to the Wk4 its not far behind that in action as i've always thought the Wk4 was also light.

Has for the sound comparison piano, guitars, etc the PSR is more realistic, but we are comparing a 2003 model against a 1997 model.

The overal sound on the Yamaha is very pleasing to me compared to the WK4.I have gone through some songs I played on the Wk4 on the Yam and the results in finding a rhythem to suit a certain song has been outstanding.

I really like how the keyboard is set up and when playing a layered sound to a rhythem it really shines out, something I was never satisfied about with the Gem.

I've still got a lot to check and try out,but at the moment it pleases me very much.

Regards,
Daz
