I have just started a new egroup at . Its goal is to collect and encourage development of regionally and culturally evocative MIDIs and Styles (all brands welcome). There are no files yet for your to download, but that should change. http://www.egroups.com/group/MIDI-Style-Atlas

I didn't like the "0" next to my name, so I will note that the group now has 5 members. I am trickling in a few style files that are available elsewhere. It may take a year, but the group should turn out to be a good resource for those looking to explore styles from different cultures or looking for styles for their own culture.

In our 4th week with 99 members and 3.5GB of zipped style files. Ilija and I have done most of the uploading. Yamaha, Korg, and Roland are pretty well represented. We could use some help with Solton and Technics.

It may be just a coincidence, but the MIDI-Style-Atlas eGroup reached 100 members about the same time the General Arranger Keyboard Forum reached #1.
