Can you and is there any advantage to using a blank DVDr disk in a CDr recorder?

What is the best CD-r disk (mfg./source?)
to use in a realtime CD recorder to record music?

I have heard that CDr disks with dark sides (the side recorded on) are better??

Are there master CDr disks? (Mfg./source?)

I'd appreciate any thoughts

You can't use a DVD recordable in a CD recorder.

In the matter of what's better, what's better is what works best for you.

Soooooooo there is no best blank media for CD-R recording??

I seem to remember gold disks or disk with darker coatings were best?

Ihave tried both extensively and both work equally well.

FWIW, I have read many threads on this subject and the winner, consistently, is a brand with an Asian name. Which escapes me. I'm sure this post is very helpful to you.
