Ok, I know this is a little off topic, but following my recent website design overhaul, I'm now considering upgrading my current free (albeit with ads) Bravenet Guestbook to one which doesn't display ads, or possibly move to a another Guestbook service provider altogether. Bravetnet charges $5.95/month, or $49.50/year for their ad free Guestbook, while Tripod Lycos (my website host) charges $5/month for their similar Guestbook (no ads) service called: Guest Gear. Anyone here have any experience with either of these two
'pay version' Guestbook providers, or have another recommendation? Thanks. - Scott

My site includes a guestbook if I wanted to use one, which I don't.

Scott,

Try using www.hostbaby.com webhosting for musicians. Schedule, Guestbook, news, streaming audio, etc. for $20.00 per month.

Actually I have had a Guest Book on my Site for three years and the number of visitors could be counted on one hand!
I am now thinking seriously of using the space for something more useful!
Usually (90%) of the comments are something like "Nice Site" or similar
Anybody else with similar intentions?
cheers

You know how to use scripts? Purple Yin (www.purpleyin.com) is one I used and I liked the look of it and I got it working on a couple of sites. I think it uses PHP language. It was not too hard to set up. No fees. If you don't know how to use scripts, you can hire a programmer like my brother and me. Or post here, and I can try to help you.

I don't know if Guest Books are worthwhile or not. Maybe they are for musicians, since good reviews are helpful.
