If you go to a new international website: www.korgpa.com
you will see all about the soon to be released 3.0 operating system. And yes, there is a now a sampling mode within the program mode along with dozens of new features.

I just went to the site George, thanks for sharing the info. I think I'm going to be very glad that I held on to this board.

Interesting and very valuable improvements, but I see no mention of upgrading the Vocal Harmonizer. Along with the two fill-ins (which they DID address) this was the major disappointment of this keyboard to me. The harmonizer sounds good, but there are no options as to number of voices, gender, etc.

I'm also glad to see they have addressed the ability to see which bank and number style you are in when playing styles not performances. This was hard for me to remember which style bank I was using when i started to change sounds and then needed to remember which bank I last was using for the styles.

Don,

V/H is another reason I'm considering replacing my 740 with the 2000. I don't even have the V/H board for the PA80 and for the reasons you mentioned I don't necessarily plan on installing it either. The upgrades though for the PA80 make it even more of a winner for me as a compositional tool. I realy wanted sampling too. My only concern with all of this is that the board itself doesnt become even more complicated to operate the than it is already. Still, as I said in my other post, if and when I ever do a live show again, I'll be taking the PSR2000 but I will bring the Korg along as well as a backup.
